Petrol Direct Injection
With petrol direct injection, the fuel is injected directly into the combustion chamber at a maximum pressure of 150 bar. A special combustion chamber geometry ensures an optimum mix of the fuel and air. FSI is our engine technology that delivers outstanding thermal efficiency and above-average fuel economy. With an appropriate driving style, FSI engines consume up to 15 per cent less fuel than engines with the same power output fitted with conventional injection technology.
