Rack and Pinion Steering

The simple and maintenance-free design together with the high reliability and extremely low wear has provided the wide diffusion of the rack and pinion steering. A pinion transmits the movement of the steering wheel to the rack and moves it laterally. A play between the components is automatically compensated.

The steering is designed according to this principle in all the SEAT models.
