Pedals with Programmed Deformation
Programmed deformation ensures that in an accident brake and clutch pedals do not penetrate further into the driver's footwell. In a frontal crash, the pedal mechanism is moved out of the way or unlatched by a moving lever system. In this way, the risk of injury to the driver in the foot and leg area is intended to be greatly reduced. Also the standing accelerator in the SEAT [MODEL] is not only ergonomic, but is intended to further minimize the risk of injury.
