Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection - TFSI
The new 2.0 T FSI (Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection) from SEAT with exhaust gas turbocharger combines the advantages of petrol direct injection and turbocharging in a cutting-edge engine. The 2.0 TFSI achieves performance data, as never seen before in a four-cylinder petrol engine: constant high torque over a wide speed range, outstanding engine performance combined with typical petrol engine response behaviour and high speeds, featuring exceptional low fuel consumption and low emission levels. Especially in the partial load range of the engine, the high compression of TFSI enables lower fuel consumption versus a conventional turbo engine.
By optimising the direct injection, the dynamic response behaviour of the engine will be improved at the same time. With respect to a naturally aspirated engine with an intake-manifold fuel injection and featuring similar performance and torque, the fuel consumption can be reduced by up to 20%, wherein the 2.0 TFSI offers even better elasticity values in this comparison.
