Hydraulic power steering

To facilitate the work of steering, many cars nowadays are equipped with power steering. This is a hydraulic system consisting of a pump driven by the engine, an oil reservoir and associated pressure lines.

Thanks to power steering, even large cars such as the SEAT Alhambra can be manoeuvred without excessive use of physical strength. More sophisticated versions of hydraulic steering work depending on rpm or speed.
