Battery
The battery is a rechargeable device that stores electric energy through chemical reactions. It provides a surge of current that starts the engine. Once the engine has started, the engine-driven alternator maintains the battery’s charge, powering your car’s electrical systems. Car batteries provide a nominal 12-volt potential difference by connecting six galvanic cells in series.
